Call for candidate cities in the Agile Tour 2011
The second edition of the Agile Tour attracted over 7000 participants in 44 cities around the world, all at no cost for attendees! This unique event, which combined local networking with a fun way to learn about agile, was highly appreciated and will therefore be extended another year. In addition, we're offering the event to more cities--this is your chance to bring the event to your city, and to be part of this new form of communication, called 'Mass Communication', which demonstrates how the Agile are able to mobilize to change their way of working.
The main objectives of the Agile Tour are constantly evolving, but are currently:
Objectives:
- Massively promote agility
Our primary mission is to conduct a 'Mass Communication' about our development practices throughout the month of October. We want to communicate everywhere there is an audience in order to attract massive attention to our new professional approach. - Share our visions of agility
Since agility is constantly evolving, we want to be open to new horizons while also contributing our understanding, interpretation and ideas to the agile community. - Federate
Encourage leadership in all regions of the world in the agile arena, while being consistent with agile culture and self-organization. - Support
Assist our colleagues and local businesses in their adoption of agility
To help us locally or to participate as a "candidate city":
To build on the success of our last tour, we are calling upon you to nominate any city that is likely to hold an "Agile Tour" conference in the third quarter of 2011, and to be a point of contact for organizing the event. Whether you are a novice or an experienced conference organizer, if you identify with the objectives above, do not hesitate to propose your city. You will receive all the support of our international teams who organized the previous Agile Tour. This year, AgileTour will be bigger than ever and we are counting on your local presence to make it happen.
